As GMC Osteopathy provides Osteopathy, a primary health care modality, to its clients we take your privacy seriously.

Information collected about your medical and family history is required for appropriate diagnostic and health management decisions. This information is only collected fairly and directly from you with your consent. This information is not disclosed to anyone else unless legislation provides that it be so.

There are some instances where some information is required for Medicare, WorkSafe, Department of Veteran’s Affairs or TAC schemes. In these circumstances you will be informed of any information that is required to be disclosed.

You have the right to access your information and can request a viewing or copy of this information. We will need a request in writing and may be charged a fee for copying purposes, which is allowed under Privacy Guidelines. If you believe information stored about you is not accurate you may have this amended.

Where requested a patient’s health information may be made available to another health provider. Where a referral is deemed appropriate your Osteopath may write a letter of referral, which may contain some of your medical information. This letter is usually given to you personally to take with you.

This website’s booking system collects only contact information for the purposes of appointments and is not disclosed or forwarded to any third party. GMC Osteopathy may use the information solely for the purposes of providing you with information about the practice and related activities via an emailed newsletter which you may unsubscribe from at any time.
